Strange Rollers - Back n 4th - feat Altered Beats & Sinners Inc

Definition:breaks 021 – Strange Rollers – Back n 4th

featuring remixes by Altered Beats and Sinners Inc

Strange Rollers kicked off the label in fine style back at the start of 2009 with the cheeky “Dark Love” – and we have wanted to bring them back to the label for a while now, and we finally managed to grab this one…. Back n 4th….

Full on hardcore breaks action is what you will get with their original mix of this track – the tempo is up, the ragga samples are flyin, the jungle influences are in your face, and the bassline is heavy!!
Altered Beats return to the label once again to put their stamp on this tune – and again the dubsteppy beats run through the intro, there are plenty of glitchy edits, and then a drop well worth the wait… this remix is solid!!
Sinners Inc hot off the blocks after their Bloodborne release provide us with another massive remix to complete this package… Get your guns out for this one – you know the bassline is gonna be filthy dirty and not grandma friendly!!

Feedback so far for this release.....

Curl & Dean - Really loving that old skool vibe on the original, has a good looking/metalheadz vibe to start with, then the drop just slams it, really makes me feel young and remember the good times.
The Remixes are slamming as well.

Bill Vega – Original mix for me, rocking!

Joebot - really feeling these! the original does it for me the most, will be supporting

Mobius - The Altered Beats remix is by far my fave here, some great glitching and twisting of the original elements underpinned by a solid beat and bassline once things get rolling.

Lunar Shift - For us it’s a toss up between the original and the Altered Beats remix, so I think we’ll play both!

Youthful Implants - This is wicked, the original is amazing! Totally on fire. Like the other two mixes too but the original is the pick for me

Lee Martin (Dusted Breaks) Sinners Inc remix is very interesting! Will try and get some plays out of that badbwoy!!

Llupa– Loving the original, love how it sucks you in with the sweet vibes and then slams ya with the tough beat and bass - quality.

Chris Bass Reflections - Wicked release! Loving all the mixes but the Altered Beats remix goes
above and beyond for me. Will def be supporting this release!

Duane Barry (Digital Sensation) Really feeling the basslines on all 3 tracks but I like the original just pips it for me!

Inconspicuous Villain – By far the hottest breaks release of the summer so far….

Pale Penguin (VIM) – Solid package over here...... Will play

Casual Breakin (NSB) – straight in the "box" as ever...

Lazerface

DEKOY

'Lazerface EP'

(Slime Recordings)

01.'Lazerface'
02.'Isolator'
03.'Launch Pad'
04.'Isolator ( [sic] Remix )'

Slime is back for a second helping after it's debut release from [sic], melting techno and dubstep together with devestating results. Following on with our mission to explore the new hybrid sounds emerging throughout the underground right now, we present an amazing EP of tracks from one of the UK's most promising producers - Dekoy.

This London-based producer has been honing his skills for some time now through the myriad sounds of hardcore breaks, dubstep, house and much more besides. For his debut release on Slime, Dekoy offers up the 'Lazerface EP' - four tracks of total genre demolition. Utilising the energy of early rave music with the horsepower of dubstep, Dekoy bolts the two together over speaker-popping 4/4 beats to create something totally fresh and explosive on the dancefloor.

The title track 'Lazerface' is the sound of a confused dalek that's fallen over in the shower, all 8-bit riffs and pulsing bass making for a serious party track. 'Isolator' takes you back to the days of old skool piano ecstasy, arpeggios drizzled over driving house beats for maximum fun, whilst 'Launch Pad' twists the template of dubstep into something both ominious and joyous at the same time - buzzing synths and rambunctious bassweight combining to incredible effect. For the final track, Slime's kinky techno wizard [sic] overhauls 'Isolator' into a minimal masterpiece, with chopped vox and serpentine basslines merged in menacing majesty.

Slime - A little label for loud music.
