April Ramblings. Top Ten + Club & Radio News

Ted's Top Ten for April
Every month I'll be posting my personal selection of the finest new tunes, as well as ones to watch out for and some classics from the vault. Check out the April selection below.

James Talk & Ridney – Forever
Dust off your mirror balls people! It Seems there has be a disco revolution waiting in the wings for some time, and with this white flared monster’s release on Defected there’s little doubt that we’ll be treated to a lot more of this sound during 2010. Groovy!

Lusine – Two Dots (Nic Fanciulli Remix)
Already a beautiful piece of music, Nic has (as ever) turned out a classy remix to make this playable for the house jocks. If you like this make sure you check out his remix of Saints and Sinners’ “Pushing Too Hard”, also out this month.

Sub Focus & Coco - Splash (Rusko Remix)
One of the most popular acts on the DnB circuit team up with Coco Sumner (that’s Sting’s daughter to you and me) and get a very lively, Grime influenced makeover from one of Dubstep’s biggest players. Must have!

Eric Prydz & Steve Angelo ft Z. Hamilton – Sunrize
Wow! This has got Ibiza written all over it. We’ve come to expect powerful uplifting vibes when these two get together and this is another full on hands-in-the-air job. Soaring diva vocals and a touch of disco make this very radio friendly and will see it tearing up the more commercial floors.

Lys – Few Things
Another straight up club banger from the always-on-form Lys. Fresh, and bursting with energy, this is a certain crowd pleaser.

George Street Kids – God Made Me Funky
GSK combine House, Garage and Old-skool flavours to great effect here. This has been getting lots of radio attention from Pete Tong and Mister Jam and will no doubt be snapped up by one of the big labels very soon.

Kink – Existence
A fantastic release from Josh Wink’s Ovum label who have set the bar high already this year. That chunky old-skool piano sound is sure to raise a few smiles on any floor. Check out the rest of the EP for more techy goodness.

Mowgli – I Want Everything
Tech house grove that bumps and fidgets along. Fancy footwork required.

**ONE TO WATCH **
Tim Green - Old Sunshine & 1999 Remix
His Remix of Cassius’ “1999” and original production “Old Sunshine” have been tipped for huge success when they are released in May and Tim has just confirmed his first Radio 1 Essential Mix in the same month! This guy has so much promise and is rising fast.

**FROM THE VAULTS**
Phase II - Reachin' (Latin Workout Mix)
1993 vocal house hit with the big love vibe.

Nu-Rave Radio News
As of tonight I'll be moving to Wednesday nights 8-10 with the newly re-named House Sensation (well I couldn’t call it the Saturday sessions anymore, could I?). The staple is house music, but expect to hear dubstep, d'nb, techno and all that good stuff.

Club Dates
On Friday 30th April Myself and Kidson will be representing the Nu-Rave Radio massive with Hard Shocks at Bristol’s infamous Lakota. With me spinning a hard dance set and Kidson on a nu-rave vs techno tip, this one is not to be missed.More info an full line-up at http://www.darkenergypro.com

Until next month... Much love.
